As James 4:6 (NIV) tell us: But he gives us more grace.
How often do we pause and let those words settle deep in our spirit? In moments when our strength falters, when our faith is threadbare, and when our failures seem louder than our prayers, He gives us more grace—not just for salvation, but for the everyday stumbling, the silent battles, and the whispered prayers in the dark.
Oh, but for Grace! We would still be chasing worth in all the wrong places. We would still be drowning in guilt, living in shame, and striving for what’s already been freely given. God’s grace is unearned, unmerited, yet always sufficient. I remember many times feeling like I wasn’t good enough to be used by God because of the “bad” things I did in the past, and the days when I was too busy to pray or spend time alone with him. Thank God that grace lifts us when we fall, strengthens us when we’re weak, and reminds us that we are His!
I don’t even want to begin to imagine what this world would be like without Grace. It is a very scary thought! Let us not take this grace for granted. Let us live in it, lean into it, and extend it to others. Because when all else fades and fails, Grace remains.
Grace speaks to salvation. Grace sustains and strengthens us in weakness. Grace justifies us despite our sins. I don’t know about you, but I am a “Grace Case”!
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (ESV)
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Romans 3:23-24 (NIV)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
